1 Chose two of the character in the book that you are reading and compare how they are similar and contract how they are different .

The differences and the similar between Alan Breck Stewart and David Balfour :
Alan is a Jacobite rebel , and he is fiercely loyal to his clan and countrymen . He is an excellent swordsman and marksman . Moreover , he is quick to take offense, but also quick to forgive . He is sophisticated man. Alan and David Balfour are the most interesting character and they have strong sense of justice , but David believes it is settled by finding the most obvious guilty party and punishing him , such as when he suggests that James Stewart put out a warrant for the real killer of Colin . I chose David Balfour and Alan Breck Stewart to talk about because they are great adventurous men . Sometime, I want to be similar with them who are brave and strong . They are not afraid of dangerous , so I admire them so much. Something that I am different with them is that I can not use sword and kill someone else . I am afraid of blood . Moreover , I am older than David because he is seventeen , but I am eighteen years old . A big difference between them and me is that they are the boys and I am a girl .

SUMMER FUN BOOK CLUB REPORT #4

TITLE OF THIS BOOK IS KIDNAPPED . AUTHOR IS ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON.

This book has 66 pages . I am now on page 57 .
This week I read 31 pages .
I understand about 70 % of what I read .

1 Choose the problem that you see developing in the book . Explain the problem and tell what you think should be done or what the characters in the book should do .

David Balfour 's villainous uncle has him kidnapped in order to steal his inheritance . David escapes only to fall into the dangerous company of Rebels who are resisting British redcoats in the Scottish highland . David Balfour was kidnapped . He was on the ship and he tried to find any way to escape . I think he should not go with his cruel uncle because he did not know about him so much , so he was very brave when he went with him . He had to fight with many bad guys and got many difficulties . For example , his ship struck rocks , so he went down in the water . He was so lucky because he was holding on to a piece of wood from the ship . Moreover, a lot of dangerous things happened with him .

2 Explain why you chose this situation . If something like this even happened to you , explain about it .

I chose this situation because I think it is very adventurous . Moreover , it makes me feel thrilling because I don't know how how the characters will solve this problem . If I was kidnapped and fell down in the water , I would be very frightened . I don't know what they will do with me and I can not swim ,too . Actually, I have never been kidnapped , but I think it is more dangerous than I imagine .

IF A FAIRY GIVE YOU A WISH , WHAT WILL YOU WISH FOR ?

I decided to ask this question because I usually daydream. I imagined to have a fairy . It is the same with many stories that I read . I think everyone has a lot of different wishes when the fairy offers them wishes . I am curious about things which they desire . Someone wishes they will have money . Others wish they will have a good boyfriend or girlfriend. I do not think people will refuse to wish when the fairy gives them. In the other hand, I chose this question because I hope I will have a wish from the fairy on some day. It is only a supposition and it is not a truth, but I feel interesting when I think about it. Moreover, If I ask my classmate this question, I can know what they are thinking and what they need. Maybe I will help them when their wish is not difficult for me to do. Actually, If I had a wish, I would say to the fairy that I desire I can come back Vietnam to visit my family. I miss them so much. Especially, my parents. I have never gone so far and so long as now, so I imagined that there is a fairy and she will offer me a wish.
